I just remember click to hold to test it in the game settings or something when I finally got that to work then it worked in game, but that's all I rememebr sorry. My next move is to try my son's simple headset, I just don't like the idea of using a $30 headset when I own a $300 headset :( Unfortuinatly my microphone now work in game again, so I'll find it hard to help. Here are a few steps you can take to attempt to remedy the issues. I tried wireless and with USB cable continuously attached. If I log off a server and re-join the game, it works again (for 15 minutes). My in-game VOIP (Astro A50 - USB) now works with testing in the options and in-game for about 15 minutes before it stops working. I did this and voila! It worked! For 15 minutes.
The first bit of good advice I received was to configure my mic to work with Steam since rumor has it ROK apparently uses Steam VOIP somehow for in-game VOIP. Re-installing game, re-installing audio drivers, updating audio drivers, no luck. I researched high and low and found many other users with ROK mic trouble. Since this headset is USB, it does not in any way even use your systems' onboard sound card/codec.įor PC, all u should need to use is the included USB 2.0 cable. Again no big deal because that is why it connects through USB, it transfers power and audio all through USB. You can use the Optical cable on a PC but again your system would have to have Optical Output, which while most Desktops do, most Laptops do not.
